Grand Canyon National Park, located in Arizona. Has a large portion of the enormous Grand Canyon. Whose layered bands of red rock reveal millions of years of geological history. The Yavapai Observation Station, Mary Colter’s Lookout Studio, and her Desert View Watchtower are a few viewpoints. A popular spot is Lipan Point. Which offers expansive views of the canyon and Colorado River, particularly at sunrise and sunset.

Tragedy at Grand Canyon National Park

According to park officials, a hiker died after falling 200 feet off a ledge at Grand Canyon National Park. Unidentified hiker, a 44-year-old man was on the North Rim of the park close to the rim west of the Bright Angel Point Trail.

The man reportedly fell off the rim while he was off the trail. After 3:30 p.m, rangers arrived at the scene and discovered the man’s body “about 200 feet below the rim.”

The National Park Service advises visitors to always stay on walkways and designated trails and to refrain from scaling fences or railings. 
The service advised, “Make sure that your companions have both feet firmly planted on pavement or developed trails.” “Be aware of the edge. Check for trip hazards and be mindful of foot placement. ” 
The incident occurred not long after two hikers in the United States died in falls. On August 19, a woman died after falling in Oregon; on August 20, a man passed away in New Hampshire.

Western Arizona’s Lake Havasu City

Another hiker was discovered dead in western Arizona’s Lake Havasu City, the most recent fall after becoming lost on the trails. 
Four hikers reported lost, without water, and showing signs of heat exhaustion in 104-degree weather to 911 at around 2:30 on Friday, according to Mohave County Sheriff’s officials.
Two women, ages 63 and 27, and a 61-year-old man were rescued by city fire rescue personnel. The two women, admitted to a hospital because of their dehydration. A 31-year-old man left the group to find the trailhead, according to the man’s account to the police.

The sheriff’s office said in a statement that “they were visiting Sara Park from out of town and unfamiliar with the increased danger of hiking in the heat of the day and the challenging trail system during the summer.” 
Less than 200 miles southwest of the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, in a wilderness area of Lake Havasu City, the man was discovered dead on Saturday afternoon off the trail system.
